Domino's Pizza has announced plans to add 1,000 jobs ahead of the busy festive period, during which it expects to a surge in orders due to the soccer World Cup.
The company is seeking to hire delivery drivers, pizza makers and other in-store positions, and applicants require no prior experience. Customer service, food quality as well as role-specific on-the-job training will be provided to successful applicants.
Domino's said evening and weekend shift work would fit around busy schedules, and that successful applicants would have opportunities for rewards and recognition, claiming that 90% of store managers start out as team members.
"As we approach a very busy period with international football and the festive peak, we are excited to announce 1,000 new roles with Domino’s across Ireland," said Scott Bush, CEO of Domino's Pizza Group in Ireland.
"We are proud to be able to offer a range of flexible in-store and contract driver roles, which may be suited to those looking for additional employment opportunities or to fit around study or family life. A spokesperson for Domino's said that many of the roles would be permanent and some would be temporary or short-term.
Accounts for Domino's Pizza Group plc show the company made sales of nearly £1.5bn in the UK and Ireland last year, a year-on-year improvement of 11%, with a statutory profit of £78.3m and underlying earnings before interest and tax of £120m.
Sales across the 55 Domino's outlets in Ireland totalled £72.8m in 2021, with a further 22 stores in Northern Ireland.
