Tim Vaughan (pictured), editor of the Irish Examiner newspaper, has left his role to join Newsweaver as Head of Content and Corporate Communications.
Newsweaver founder and CEO Andrew O’Shaughnessy, said: “I’m delighted that someone of Tim’s calibre is joining our team. His knowledge, experience and skillset is a perfect fit for Newsweaver as we expand our international footprint.”
Newsweaver, best known for its bulk email client, also works with corporates for employee communications solutions. Clients include Rolls-Royce, LinkedIn, Experian, Vodafone, and Aon Hewitt, among several other FTSE and Fortune 1000 companies.
Newsweaver says a new product enables companies easily measure internal communications performance across multiple platforms, email, intranet, video and social media all in one place.
Last December the company announced the expansion of its workforce from 80 to 140 at its Cork HQ. It also has offices in Boston.
E-Search Ltd, the Newsweaver operating company, booked a loss of €93,000 in the year to September 2015. The company capitalises development expenditure as an intangible asset, which in 2014/15 amounted to €540,000.
Trade debtors expanded by 22% to €806,000 and average headcount including directors increased from 59 to 67 people. Average annual remuneration was €61,000.
The annual accounts filing discloses taxpayer support for the venture through Enterprise Ireland capital and revenue grants of €952,000.
