Wealth management firm Elkstone has appointed John Hynes as chief financial officer, a post in which he will oversee its finance and operations function.
Elkstone is a Multi-Family Office providing wealth management guidance and opportunities. Multi-family offices typically provide a variety of services to wealthy families, including tax and estate planning, risk management, objective financial counsel, trusteeship, lifestyle management, coordination of professionals, investment advice, and foundation management.
Elkstone operates in three main business areas — venture, real estate, and investment services, and has a team of 30 people.
Hynes (pictured) has more than 20 years’ experience in private offices, property development and investment management. Most recently he worked with Hottinger Group, heading their international Family Office, Private Office and Investment Management businesses as chief financial officer.
Chief executive Alan Merriman commented: "Not only will John bring very strong functional experience to further enhance our Multi-Family Office investment services, but his addition will also naturally extend our already considerable international reach working with other family offices on co-investment and other collaborative opportunities.
“This is a key part of the Elkstone vision as we work hard to position ourselves as a key networker supporting Irish business and entrepreneurs via the increasingly influential global family office ecosystem.”
Hynes stated: “Continued growth in wealth along with complexity has led to an increased demand for trusted, sophisticated wealth management advisors. Elkstone offers our High Net Worth clients and their families, many of whom are entrepreneurs themselves, a progressive, market leading collaborative investment service with a strong reputation for excellence.”
