Forcepoint Seeks To Add 100 Staff

Cybersecurity company Forcepoint is looking to hire 100 more staff as it moves into its new South Mall office in Cork.

The Texas company set up in Cork in June 2018, with the assistance of taxpayer funding of  €2.5 million sourced from IDA Ireland.

The 'Centre of Excellence' was initally housed at One Albert Quay and now the firm has relocated to the new build at 85 South Mall (pictured), where KPMG is the other anchor tenant.

85 South Mall has been developed by JCD Group and the 46,000 sq ft office building was designed by architects Henry J Lyons.

Forcepoint currently employs 70 people and is now recruiting software engineers and product managers, with plans to add up to 100 more people in these roles over the next year.

The company recently announced a ‘converged’ security platform to accelarate organisations’ digital transformation by enabling secure migration of data, applications, and business operations to the cloud. The Cork team played a major role in bringing the new product to fruition, the company said.

Vice president engineering David Coffey said: ““The Cork Centre of Excellence has already demonstrated its importance in the development and operation of market-leading endpoint security, cloud services and applications, as we enable enterprises to transform their security architectures.”

Open positions include software development, quality assurance engineers, DevOps engineers and cloud operations. The positions are open to anyone who is eligible to work in the EU.
