LotusWorks Hiring 50 In Sligo

Technical and engineering services firm LotusWorks is to create 50 new jobs in Sligo over the next six months, with a further 50 roles to come on stream by the end of 2017.

The highly-skilled jobs will be on top of the 470 people already employed by LotusWorks, which is headquartered in Sligo.

LotusWorks was founded by Fergal Broder (pictured) in 1989 as Lotus Automation Ireland Ltd. In 2014, all services and divisions were consolidated under the LotusWorks brand.

The firm’s staff comprise calibration, I&C, mechanical and electrical engineers and technicians, and the company has expanded into North America, Europe and Singapore.

LotusWorks’ client list includes companies in ICT, life science, medical devices and advanced technology. In the year to February 2015, LotusWorks recorded turnover growth of nearly 70%, to €74m, which the firm said was helped by strong US business and favourable dollar exchange rates. It booked a profit of €3.4m during the year.
