MyTalengi is a new recruitment platform, designed and developed in Ireland aimed at helping business to find and hire software talent.
MyTalengi plans to offer software developers personal brand and career management services, building a real-time profile that reflects their skills and achievements.
The founder is Stephen Walsh (pictured), who said that users of MyTalengi include NewsWhip, BriteBill, Hoolux Medical, Keeper Solutions and Taxamo.
“Unlike LinkedIn, MyTalengi focuses exclusively on the software developer community,” said Walsh. “This means that recruiters and businesses using MyTalengi can search, find and access software development talent in complex technical environments such as GitHub and StackExchange.
“Already analysing more than 1 million pieces of data relating to developers each month, plans are already in place to further enrich digital footprint data with the addition of activity on Twitter, Reddit, Google + and other platforms favoured by software developers.”
Talent Pool
Walsh claims a talent pool of 8.6 million developers in its cloud, 800,000 of which are searchable by skills, location and name, including 600,000 users with matching email IDs.
An annual subscription to MyTalengi costs a very €2,500 plus VAT. For developers who want to enhance their personal brand on the platform, the annual charge is
€38.
Walsh is also founder and CEO of Keeper Solutions, an IT services company. Formerly a Director of Dell Services, he was previously Ireland Country Director at Perot Systems.
Walsh said he developer MyTalengi by partnering with software developer Goran Jovic, a leading expert in functional programming. Incidentally, the name is a mash-up of My Talent Engine.
