Motor group Windsor is to open a new facility at Exit 5 on the M50, which will create 80 new jobs.

The planned Motor Mall will bring multiple car brands together under one roof on a 2.9 hectare site that will be the biggest indoor car showroom in the country. It will also include a dedicated electric vehicle hub.

Windsor’s new outlet will also feature a dedicated light commercial vehicle centre, an after-care workshop with 16 work bays, a welcome lounge and café for customers and 150 car parking spaces.

Windsor plans to open its new motor mall to the public in September 2019. Nissan, Renault and Dacia marques will feature in the facility when it opens.

Extending to 46,000 square feet over two floors, the motor mall will allow customers to view 50 of the latest models from multiple car brands. A further 350 cars can be viewed outside.

“The arrival of the Windsor Motor Mall is great news for car buyers and owners,” said Peter Nicholson, managing director of Windsor. “This is a whole new concept in car retail in Ireland, which we have specially designed to offer the greatest convenience to customers. Nothing like it currently exists.”

Established in 1964, Windsor is a dealer for Nissan, Renault, Dacia, Opel, Peugeot and Mazda. The group operates showrooms in Dublin, Galway, Meath and Wicklow.
