PayPal is to add 100 extra staff to its EMEA headquarters in Ballycoolin, Dublin, before the end of April this year.
The new staff – and further hires down the line – will bring the number employed by the company in Ireland to 3,000 by 2018 – including 1,600 in Dublin and 1,400 in Dundalk. Currently, PayPal employs over 2,400 people in Ireland.
Over the next two months, PayPal said it will recruit for customer service and team leader positions, including customer support and risk operations. The 100 new roles are for English speakers. In addition to these, PayPal also has a number of foreign language roles currently open to interested applicants.
Louise Phelan (pictured), vice president of global operations for the EMEA region for PayPal, said: “I am thrilled to announce PayPal’s further investment in Ireland and its talent base today. This announcement is a strong endorsement of the quality of teammates we find here in Ireland.
“Career opportunities at our diverse and multicultural offices in Ireland have never been better. We are particularly proud of the fact that many of the roles we create are suitable for unemployed people who we recruit from the live register.
“Our new teammates will join colleagues representing 40 nations and will be eligible for fantastic career, personal development and training opportunities.”
