Fifty jobs will be added to the Positive ProStrategy Retail (PPR) workforce over the next three years  as it implements Microsoft’s ERP technology with retail-specific functionality.

The company offers end-to-end methods of managing shops and other retail channels, all the way from point of sale and store management through to back office functions such as finance, supply chain, replenishment, and so on, integrating external channels such as web, social media and mobile.

Enterprise Resource Planning is software that manages and integrates a company’s financials, supply chain, operations, reporting, manufacturing, and human resource activities.

PPR works from two Dublin offices with one in Cork, and is a Gold Microsoft Partner. The 50 jobs it plans will be specialist IT consultant and support roles in Dublin and Fermoy.

Parent company ProStrategy Colman booked a net profit of €224,000 in 2016. The employee number increased from 33 to 39, of whom 29 were developers/consultants. Average annual pay across 39 staff was €65,500.

Managing director John Coleman said: “Good customers buy from you, but great customers keep coming back. More often than not, it’s the relationship the customer has with the retailer and its employees that makes a difference.  Today’s analytics tools are able to pull in data from all parts of your business— plus external data such as demographics, share of wallet, and more — to create a more complete understanding of the customer.”

Enterprise Ireland’s digital technology manager John MacNamara added: “Supporting Irish companies with the ambition to scale globally is a key priority for Enterprise Ireland and by deploying cutting edge technologies to provide unified commerce solutions to the retail sector, the company has the potential to continue to successfully scale its operations in Ireland, the Eurozone and beyond."
