Dublin-based telecoms firm Pure Telecom is to create 30 new jobs over the next two years as part of a €2m investment by the company.
The new positions will be spread across customer care, sales and technical support, and will include a national sales manager. They will bring Pure Telecom’s total headcount to 80.
Pure Telecom recently signed a two-year partnership agreement with eircom Wholesale worth €20m, giving the firm’s customers access to eircom’s high-speed fibre broadband network.
The telecoms company can also provide access to other leading networks, including BT and Verizon.
According to Paul Connell, director of Pure Telecom, the company is aiming to secure around two-thirds of its new customers from its new ‘Purely Broadband’ service. The broadband-only service allows customers without a landline to access high-speed fibre broadband of up to 100Mb/s with no download limits and no landline charges.
Connell added: “We provide a very simple mix of a very responsive service, together with the best possible telecoms solution for each individual customer.
“We have the huge advantage of not physically owning our own network, which means that we can effectively act as a telecoms broker, not constrained by any single network.”
David Sheill, commercial sales director in Pure Telecom, added: “These new positions will give us the manpower to provide the additional support and care we’ll need for a larger customer base.
“We are very bullish about the opportunities we have and we expect to grow the team here even more in the coming years.”
