Software firm Fleetmatics Group is to add 75 R&D staff at its global HQ in Tallaght by 2018, which will bring the company’s total Irish headcount to over 200.
Fleetmatics was founded in Ireland in 2004 and provides SaaS fleet tracking and management solutions for service-based businesses. The firm floated on the New York Stock Exchange in 2012, which raised €83m. It employs over 1,200 people worldwide.
Peter Mitchell, co-founder and CTO of Fleetmatics, said that his company was spoiled for choice when it came to finding staff for R&D in Ireland.
“We attract them to Fleetmatics by offering engineers and product managers an opportunity to work on leading edge UX, SaaS, mobile, IoT and data analytics projects -- all of which help rapidly transform our customers’ businesses and truly make a difference.”
The expansion plans also include the development of Fleetmatics’ new Network Operations Centre (NOC) in Tallaght, a custom-built facility housing the company’s operations and application support engineers.
The company reported total revenue of over €250m in 2015, an increase of 23% compared with 2014.
