Ryanair has announced it will hire an additional 50 people to work in marketing and IT at its office in Swords.

The budget airline will hold a recruitment open day at the Davenport Hotel in Dublin city centre next Thursday from 12:30-7pm, where prospective applicants will have the chance to learn more about the open positions.

The company is seeking candidates for roles across IT, product, digital, brand, communications and sales & marketing from entry-level graduates to senior management.

Successful applications will avail of discounted travel with Ryanair as well as "excellent remuneration packages, fantastic career development opportunities and benefits."

"As Europe’s number one airline and a top Irish brand for digital innovation and fun marketing, we are delighted to announce our recruitment open day to help find the perfect candidates to join our industry leading marketing and IT teams," said Darrell Hughes, people director at Ryanair.

Ryanair in September said it would add 2,000 jobs in Ireland by 2030, with plans to open a €50m training centre in Santry for pilots and cabin crew, and an €8m engineering excellence centre in Dublin.

Other investments include €10m in a three-bay maintenance hangar in Shannon that will require 200 new jobs in Clare, and a commitment to grow Ryanair Labs from 600 to 1,000 high-tech development jobs over the next five years.

The airline has set a target of carrying 225m passengers per year by 2026, up from 168m for the current financial year. The company has forecast a full-year net profit of €1.32-1.42bn for 2022-23.
