Irish online education company Shaw Academy is to add 40 staff to its Dublin-based workforce before summer 2016, having recently taken on 60 additional staff.
The Enterprise Ireland-backed job expansion will see Shaw Academy’s total headcount grow to almost 200 globally. The company’s online courses teach over 55,000 new students each month in seven different languages.
Shaw Academy operates a live e-learning centre in Eastpoint in Dublin, as well as a number of offices overseas. The company was founded in 2013 by James Egan and Adrian Murphy.
Courses with the Shaw Academy include digital marketing and mobile app development, as well as nutrition, diet and weight management.
Speaking after the jobs announcement, Adrian Murphy said: “The ongoing global demand for quality skills and education in a condensed interactive live format is key to our continued expansion and growth.”
