US software company Slack is to open a European HQ in Dublin, with plans to hire 100 people here in the next two years.
The San Francisco-headquartered firm has developed a messaging and search platform that integrates with popular services such as Twitter, Dropbox and Google Docs, creating a single unified archive.
Slack has 750,000 daily active users signed up to its business app and counts Adobe, Buzzfeed and The New York Times among its customers.
James Sherrett, Slack's Dublin-based accounts team lead, said that the launch of the firm's European HQ was an important milestone.
He added: “With an initial focus on customer experience and account management, our Dublin office will play a central role in our international footprint.”
