US company Ipswitch, which develops IT monitoring and security software, is to establish establish an EMEA support and operations centre in Galway, which will create around 60 jobs over five years.
Supported by the IDA, Ipswitch said that its new office will be staffed by R&D, sales and technical support teams. Ipswitch is headquartered in Massachusetts and employs over 300 people in offices in the US, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
Diane Albano, Ipswitch’s chief revenue officer and executive VP for worldwide sales, said: “From this headquarters and with all the crucial necessary functions including sales, R&D and post-sales services, we will increase the competitive advantage for both our partners and Ipswitch, and most importantly we will develop a better understanding and higher degree of support for our most valuable asset: our customers.”
Rich Welch, Ipswitch’s executive VP for customer satisfaction, added: “Having a dedicated senior team in the heart of Europe will have a big impact on the level of support that we can offer our partner network and customers across the region, therefore improving our service and support and ultimately driving growth.”
