Wexford-based e-learning provider Chevron College has announced the acquisition of Oiliúna Training and plans to create 50 jobs over the next two years. Terms of the deal were undisclosed.
Chevron College, which currently employs over 100 staff, offers certified training programmes in the healthcare, childcare and renewable energy sectors to over 5,000 students every year.
Oiliúna has successfully delivered state-funded further eduction training programmes for over 20 years at its training centre in Blanchardstown, largely career-focused courses in the areas of business, management and IT.

It is understood that new programmes will be delivered in the areas of robotics, VR and AR, artificial intelligence, data analytics and cyber security. These new programmes will result in the creation of programme design and delivery positions nationwide.
Chevron College previously acquired an English Language College (English Language Ireland) in 2020, and attained approval from Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) as a higher education provider last year.
Chevron College was advised by Jim Mulqueen of Montanum Advisory and its legals were handled by Ken Casey and Paddy Scott in Hayes Solicitors.
Recently filed accounts for Chevron College Ltd show the company has net assets of close to €5m after making a €1.4m profit over the past 12 months, up from just over €1m in 2021. The company is wholly owned by managing director Fitzpatrick.
