Hub Planner, a SaaS platform established in Stockholm by Stephen Martin, has raised investment from Monterro, a leading Nordic B2B software growth investor.

Martin, a graduate of DIT Bolton Street, said Monterro has acquired a majority share in Hub Planner, which Martin has bootstrapped since 2013.

Hub Planner is a platform for resource management, scheduling, vacation planning and time reporting, and customers include Pfizer, Mercedes, Publicis and Havas.

“Hub Planner has managed to establish a strong international footprint by offering a user-friendly and innovative product in a market where many businesses still use Excel sheets to manage their resources and schedules,” said Martin.

“Hub Planner allows businesses to quickly get a birds eye view of their resource management and team, which saves both time and money.

Monterro is exactly the type of investor I’ve been looking for,” Martin added. ”They don’t just bring their capital but also their extensive software business experience.

“That is what makes Monterro attractive and it gives us the extended platform we need to scale our business. I feel very confident in my choice of Monterro and partnership as we take the next step in our growth journey.”

Erik Syrén, managing director at Monterro, commented: “We are very impressed by Hub Planner, its product and what they have achieved over the past 10 years in the global resource management space.

”Despite limited resources, they have managed to attract many large, global customers. We see a great potential for them to scale up their business and further expand internationally. We look forward to doing this together.

“We help with everything from product development, lead generation, sales efficiency and customer success, to pricing and internationalisation,” Syrén added.

“We have a tool box and focus that makes us unique. We also work closely with our portfolio companies - it’s a partnership. Hub Planner fits us perfectly and we’re delighted to support them on their journey ahead.”

Martin hails from Celbridge and graduated from Bolton Street with a first class degree in Mechanical Engineering.

He said Hub Planner is achieving 24% ARR growth in 2022 and above 50% profitability,
