LearnUpon, a 2012 startup led by Brendan Noud, has received a fourth tranche of investment from Enterprise Ireland. The latest cash injection of €250,000 follows earlier taxpayer investments of €250,000, €25,000 and €25,000. The company also received state funding of €25,000 from the NDRC.
LearnUpon’s platform enables training course providers to start selling their own courses online.
LearnUpon’s startup losses amounted to €371,000 according to the company’s December 2014 balance sheet. Funding through 2004 was also sourced from a €300,000 long-term loan. The year-end deficit in shareholders’ funds was €306,000.
