Sixty-four-year-old law firm Kilroys has merged with the larger LK Shields and has moved into the latter’s offices.
Kilroys Solicitors has been operating in the city since 1954, providing what it calls 'partner-driven' advice to a client base of multinational companies, owner-managed businesses, government and public bodies, regulatory authorities and private clients.
LK Shields recently opened offices in Galway and London, and sees the merger as fuelling future strategic growth in addition to bringing further expertise and experience and new areas of legal practice to Shields’ offering.
Kilroys managing partner Joanne Griffin said: “We are very proud of the history of our firm and the many achievements of our people, and see this as a new and exciting chapter for both our clients and ourselves. This merger will allow us meet the evolving needs of our clients. We very much look forward to working with the dynamic team at LK Shields.”
LK Shields chairman Michael Kavanagh commented: “This is an exciting and dynamic time for our firm. Our business is thriving and as we secure new opportunities this merger reflects our commitment to strategic and sustainable growth.”
Managing partner Emmet Scully added: “The team joining us from Kilroys share our core values, most important of which is a commitment to providing high quality and commercially focused advice to our clients.”
