Two Cork financial advisors have announced they are to merge, creating a ‘super’ advisory firm in Munster. Westboro Partners and Baxter Associates, both with offices in Cork city, will trade as Westboro Partners and will employ more than 30 people providing financial and business advisory services to SMEs and the multinational sector in Munster.
John O’Sullivan of Westboro commented: “Baxter & Associates has a long-standing reputation for excellence, with specialised knowledge of the fishing industry. Our merger will consolidate the experience, knowledge and resources of both firms. Many of our clients have an increasing desire for service and sector specialists and this merger will provide easy access to that expertise.”
Baxter Associates has been in business for over 30 years and embraces specialist services including fishing and agribusiness, while Westboro works in health and pharma, nursing homes, engineering, marine, hospitality, professional services, construction and development.
“This merger will consolidate the two firms as one of the top accountancy practices in Munster, bringing many years of experience to the table and providing a wider array of services to clients, while creating huge development opportunities for staff,” said Ciaran Baxter, principal of Baxter & Associates.
Following the merger, the Baxter office at Grenville Place will close and operations will be centralised at Westboro’s Montenotte offices.
