Pembroke Communications and Slattery Communications have announced plans to merge their PR agencies to form a new communications group PSG Communications.
The group will have 40 employees in four autonomous agencies which will offer corporate communications, consumer and lifestyle PR, digital and sports & sponsorship services. The merger follows a successful management buyout of Pembroke Communications. Further details will be announced in August.
The new group structure will create one of the largest communications organisations in Ireland with four specialist agencies operating independently. The two agencies currently have a combined turnover in excess of €5m.
The merger will be completed in October and the four agencies will commence trading at this time. In the interim, both organisations, Pembroke Communications and Slattery Communications, will continue to operate independently.
Michael O'Keeffe, currently Managing Director of Pembroke Communications, will be Chief Executive of the new organisation. Graeme Slattery, currently a Director with Slattery Communications, will be Deputy Chief Executive with Padraig Slattery assuming the role of Executive Chairman. Board of Management members will initially include Alan Tyrrell, Angie Grant, Lisa McDonald and Marian Ryan.
