Entrepreneurs Justin Quirk and Conall Humston have acquired Urban HQ, the 32,000 sq ft flexible workspace at Eagle Star House on Upper Queen Street in Belfast city centre.
Quirk and Humston said it would be business as usual under their leadership and have expressed confidence in the company's workforce. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Property developer Quirk also owns the Wilton House service apartments in Belfast, and he is actively involved in a number of start-ups and businesses in which he has invested.
He also holds board memberships and non-executive director roles and manages a number of property developments.
Humston is primarily invested in the hospitality sector and recently completed a rebrand of local pizza chain The Pizza Co, which he plans to expand in Northern Ireland.
He also holds director and board member roles with The Boatyard Distillery and the charity Tiny Life.
Quirk and Humston plan to build on the successful Urban HQ brands and support the continuation of its programmes and services.
“We are thrilled to be taking the reins at Urban HQ. Our goal is to continue to enhance the Urban HQ Member experience and create even more opportunities for collaboration and growth," said Quirk.
“We are looking forward to reinforcing Urban HQ’s position as the place to be for businesses who want to occupy the best quality space on flexible terms," added Humston.
Jamie McCoubrey, managing director of Urban HQ, said: “We are delighted to welcome both Justin and Conall as the new owners of Urban HQ.

"We have been really encouraged by how well received Urban HQ has been since opening in 2020, with our team on the ground offering the very best service and our building offering a truly design-led approach."
Urban HQ hosts a number of local and international businesses, including firms in the technology and professional services sectors.
