Olwen Inglis - media strategy and planning manager, Heineken Ireland

Olwen Inglis leads the media strategy and planning across the portfolio of brands at Heineken Ireland.

She began her career with the Irish Times graduate programme, where she developed skills in marketing and advertising.

She then moved on to IPG Mediabrands, specialising in cross-platform media planning and buying, managing clients such as Tesco and Amazon.

At Dentsu International, Inglis led accounts like Heineken and ESB, demonstrating her ability to drive business results through insight, strategy and innovation.

Since joining Heineken Ireland three years ago, Inglis has evolved the portfolio media strategy with an increased focus on through-the-line planning, maximising ROI, and delivering campaign effectiveness.

  • Hobbies: A few years ago, my hobbies included going to the gym, hiking, swimming, cycling, and soaking up industry knowledge through books and podcasts. These days, my main activity is keeping up with my energetic almost two-year-old, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
  • Best piece of advice you've ever received: "Get out of your comfort zone." The most challenging experiences often turn out to be the most rewarding.
  • Why you love your job: I’m surrounded everyday by talented, motivated and creative people. There’s a real sense of team and working together to deliver great results.
  • Motto for life: "Live with purpose and passion."

Rebecca Stenson - head of trade marketing, Tesco Ireland

Rebecca Stenson leads the trade marketing team at Tesco Ireland.

Her role covers a wide remit—developing Tesco’s trade marketing strategy, overseeing social media, and shaping the customer experience across the website and app.

She also drives local marketing efforts, supporting new and refitted stores to ensure Tesco resonates with communities nationwide.

At the heart of Stenson’s work is an understanding of customer needs and opportunities.

She develops seasonal and weekly propositions that give customers clear reasons to shop with Tesco, working closely with the wider business to ensure these plans are delivered effectively and cohesively across all touchpoints.

Prior to joining Tesco, Stenson spent seven years at Woodie’s, where she played a key role in transforming the brand’s digital marketing approach.

She led the development of their omnichannel strategy, elevated their online and social presence, and delivered award-winning campaigns that positioned Woodie’s as a digital leader in Irish retail.

A graduate of Technological University Dublin with a degree in Creative Digital Media, Stenson was named All-Ireland Young Marketer of the Year in 2022 at the All Ireland Marketing Awards.

Her work continues to blend creativity, commercial insight, and a customer-first mindset to drive impact at scale.

  • Hobbies: Big fan of all things gym and running—lately caught the Hyrox bug and loving it. DIY projects and gardening have become new hobbies since moving into our home.
  • Best piece of advice ever received: "You're only as good as the people you surround yourself with" has stuck with me from early on in my career.
  • Why you love your job: As cliché as it might sound, I genuinely love my job because no two days are ever the same. Grocery retail moves so fast that we’re always trying new things, learning quickly, and moving to the next — and that pace keeps it fun.
  • Motto for life: There's a famous quote that I often think about which says "People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing."
