Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has opened its first office in Ireland and is expected to make a number of hires later this year.
Niall Flood has already joined as Head of Corporate Finance in Ireland and will work out of the firm’s new office in Dublin.
Mr Flood brings more than 15 years of M&A and leveraged finance experience.
He specialises in advising entrepreneurs, investors and management teams of privately owned and publicly listed companies on raising debt and equity funding, acquisitions and sale/exit strategy.
He also helps clients secure private equity investment to drive corporate growth agendas and assist shareholders in realising their investments.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr Flood spent over 10 years with KPMG, in the Corporate Finance practice, where he co-led mid-market M&A Advisory in Ireland.
He has advised clients across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT) and Healthcare.
In his new role, Mr Flood will focus on expanding A&M’s Corporate Finance team in Ireland, with the firm expected to target a number of new hires in the coming months.
The team has taken space in Ella House, located on Merrion Square in the centre of the city.
Mr Flood said: “Alvarez & Marsal offers something different. We talk our clients’ language.
"The heritage of the firm, corporate performance improvement, and the fact that many of A&M’s leaders are former industry professionals means we provide valuable expertise on both transaction strategy, as well as how best to maximise trading performance.
"As industry veterans and market-leading transaction advisors collaborate, the result is a differentiated, unique and value-add offering."

Jonathan Boyers, Managing Director, and Head of Corporate Finance EMEA said: “The opening of A&M’s first office in Ireland marks a significant moment for us as a firm, and I’m proud to welcome Niall as Head of Corporate Finance in Ireland.
"Having on-the-ground, local experts is critical to supporting entrepreneurs and business leaders effectively with their financing needs."
