Dunnes Stores has confirmed it is planning to extend its loyalty voucher scheme to online shopping.

Until now loyalty points on the store's VALUEclub card and app could only be redeemed in store.

But from the start of April shoppers will be able to use the vouchers when purchasing their shopping for delivery or collection.

However, customers have been warned the vouchers must be valid on the delivery or collection day to apply.

And restrictions on the purchase alcohol, clothing, homeware or baby formula with the vouchers remain in place.

A spokesperson for Dunnes Stores said: “From Wednesday 2 April, you’ll be able to use all your valid digital Shop & Save vouchers while shopping online or in-store.

“You must scan your VALUEclub card when shopping in-store to ensure your earned vouchers are visible in your online grocery account.

“Reserve your slot before you complete your order to see what Shop & Save vouchers and offers are available on the day of your delivery or collection.”

The spokesperson made it clear customers cannot apply the vouchers to the shopping until they book their delivery or collection slot to ensure the vouchers are still valid.
