Data and AI company EXL has opened its international business headquarters in Dublin.
The US-headquartered firm first established operations here in 2023.
EXL, which employs around 61,000 people globally, works with companies to help them analyse and make better use of their data.
It works with a number of major tech companies, including Google, Microsoft, AWS and Nvidia.
The company has also established an AI Innovation Lab as part of its Dublin operations, initially employing 60 people focused on R&D for industry-specific AI solutions.
EXL aims to hire up to 200 AI and data engineering specialists by 2026.
Speaking in 2023, founder Rohit Kapoor said: “We will look to train AI experts in Ireland to unlock the transformative power of generative AI, revolutionise industries and drive new business opportunities,” Kapoor enthused.
“Dublin’s exceptional talent pool will help us shape the future of technology and propel our clients to the forefront of the global AI landscape.”
The company reported strong first-quarter results for 2025, with revenue climbing to $501.0 m, a 14.8% increase from Q1 2024, and a 4.1% increase from $481.4 m in the last quarter.
Operating income margin improved to 15.7%, up from 14.1% a year ago.

While adjusted operating income margin also rose to 20.1%, compared to 18.9% in Q1 2024.
The adjusted operating income roughly stood at $100m.
