A new Irish consultancy is stepping into the political and communications arena with an ambitious mission to ensure its clients are not only heard but also understood.

Fenton Fitzwilliam, a locally owned public affairs and communications agency, officially launches with offices in Dublin and Brussels.

The firm promises to help organisations “cut through complexity, shape policy and deliver results that matter” at a time of rapid political change across Ireland, Europe and beyond.

The consultancy joins the Paritee network, a global coalition of independent advisory-led agencies, which includes Brands2Life in the UK and US, Geelmuyden Kiese in Scandinavia, LHLK Gruppe in Germany and DVA Creative Technology Studio in Sweden.

CEO Moray Macdonald, who will also continue as Head of Public Affairs at Brands2Life in London, said: “From the outset, our goal was to build an agency of doers.

“For people driven to deliver results and create lasting impact for the organisations we work with.

“Strategy is key to what we offer, but it’s only the starting point.

“What matters is turning that advice into action and delivering tangible outcomes that shift debates, change decisions and move the dial.

“We’re launching at a time of rapid political change across Ireland, Europe and beyond.

“We don’t see this as a challenge to be managed but as an opportunity to be seized.”

Fenton Fitzwilliam opens with a nine-person team of consultants spanning political, media and policy backgrounds.

The founding directors include Macdonald, Managing Director David O’Donnell, Director Emer Sugrue and Director Lorna Fitzpatrick.

O’Donnell highlighted the agency’s focus on clarity and impact: “Public affairs and communications are ultimately about people and understanding their needs, the challenges they face and the decisions that affect them most.

“Our job is to decode complex messaging and break it down into plain English, supported by evidence, research, and expert insight.

“If you can’t explain an issue clearly, you can’t expect policymakers or the public to back you.”

The consultancy will concentrate on fast-changing sectors such as energy, tech, pharma, healthcare, transport and sustainability, with the ambition to influence debates and deliver “positive societal change.”
