Parcel locker service InPost will host fan merchandise 'drop shops' at Oasis gigs in the UK this summer after agreeing a partnership with Warner Music Group's label services division, WMX.
Located at fan stores and stadiums in Cardiff, Manchester, London and Edinburgh, the drop shops will sell official merchandise that buyers can have sent to their local InPost point or directly to their home.
The Gallagher brothers have reformed Oasis for a 41-date world tour this year following their acrimonious split in 2009 and countless verbal barbs towards each other in the 16 years since.
The iconic Britpop group played the first gigs of the Oasis Live '25 tour at Cardiff's Principality Stadium last weekend, and they will play five dates at Heaton Park in their native Manchester over the next two weeks.
The UK stretch of the tour also features seven dates at Wembley Stadium and three dates at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh. The band will perform twice at Croke Park next month, their first gigs in Ireland since Slane 2009.
700,000 fans logged on to Ticketmaster last August when tickets went on sale, and those that reached the front of the virtual queue were quoted prices of more than €400 due to the 'dynamic pricing' model employed by the site.
The CCPC said Oasis fans complaining about the sharp increase -- tickets were advertised as starting from €86.50 -- had "legitimate concerns", and the European Commission said it would examine the controversial pricing model, which raises prices as the supply of tickets dwindles. Tickets were soon found on resale sites for as much as €12,558.
InPost will also act as the official merchandise delivery partner for the Oasis Live '25 e-commerce store as WMX makes its first move to utilise locker-based delivery, and plans are underway to extend the venture to further Warner Music Group events.
InPost will launch an exclusive fan offering as part of the partnership, offering the chance to win tour experiences.
“We are focused on making delivery easier, more convenient and reliable and this partnership is an exciting example of us doing just that," said Michael Rouse, chief executive of InPost's international division.
“By giving fans more choice over how they shop and receive their tour merchandise, we are enhancing the live event experience while also driving consumer awareness of just how convenient and reliable out-of-home delivery can be.
"This is just the beginning of what we believe is a huge opportunity in the live European entertainment space."

Bob Workman, general manager of WMX UK and senior vice president of International artist and brand partners with Warner Music Group, said: “As we look to improve how fans engage with artists on tour, partnerships like this play an important role.
"InPost brings unique expertise in last mile delivery that will enable us to redefine how merchandise is offered at scale while keeping the experience seamless for fans and practical for organisers."
Barclays has forecast the 1.4 million Oasis fans attending the UK gigs will spend an average of £766 between their tickets, travel, accommodation, outfits and other expenses and more than £1 billion overall.
