Rugby stars strike up partnership between their bars and Leopardstown Racecourse

Leopardstown Racecourse has teamed up with two pubs in the Grand Slam Bars stable - R McSorley's and The Blackrock.

The two bars will be the racecourse’s Official Pub Partner for 2025.

The aim of this partnership is to interact with the extensive customer base of The Blackrock and McSorleys in tandem with Leopardstown’s audience in order to enhance their mutual engagement and experience with racing.

Tim Husband, CEO of Leopardstown Racecourse, expressed his delight at this new partnership, stating, "We are incredibly excited to partner with R McSorley's and The Blackrock.

“Both establishments are not only beloved local hospitality venues but also carry a rich heritage in the community, owned by the esteemed Noel Anderson and former Irish rugby internationals Jamie Heaslip, Rob Kearney, Sean O’Brien & Dave Kearney.

The partnership will kick off with the highly anticipated Dublin Racing Festival, set to take place on 1st & 2nd February.

According to Leopardstown Racecourse, attendees can expect a fantastic atmosphere at the event and post-racing at both R McSorleys & The Blackrock, with special offers and promotions from both pubs, enhancing the exciting racing action of the festival.

R McSorley's and The Blackrock are part of the Grand Slam Bars group, which also includes Lemon & Duke, Little Lemon and The Bridge 1859.

The group are also backing new Irish brewery, Changing Times, which launched in Glasnevin, Dublin last year.
