London’s O2 arena has marked a record-breaking year, with visitor numbers rising by 12%.
The iconic entertainment, leisure, and shopping destination, renowned for its world-class music arena, welcomed over 10 million visitors during what it called “a mammoth 2024.”
The arena achieved a milestone with 2.6 million ticket sales for events, including the Brit Awards, where Dua Lipa and Kylie Minogue took to the stage.
Other major performances featured Liam Gallagher celebrating the 30th anniversary of Oasis’s Definitely Maybe and concerts by Take That and The Killers.
In addition to its musical highlights, The O2 has solidified its reputation as a shopping hotspot, with retail sales rising 10% over the year.
Black Friday week proved exceptional, with sales soaring 16% compared to the previous year.
The entertainment district also saw a 3% increase in sales, boosted by new arrivals like Chopstix and Slim Chickens, alongside established favourites such as All Bar One, Five Guys, Pizza Express, Gaucho, and Gordon Ramsay Street Burger.

Leisure spending at the venue rose 8%, fueled by the launch of the gaming experience Activate.
Janine Constantin-Russell, managing director of entertainment, shopping, and leisure at The O2, commented: “We have consistently demonstrated just what a success story The O2 is.”
