Payzone has expanded its partnership with the stationless bike service Bleeper Bikes.
The consumer payments network has renewed its sponsorship of Bleeper's fleet of over 800 public bikes, which began in 2023.
The company will sponsor all Bleeper bikes in the Dublin City, Fingal and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown local authority areas for a further two years.
Additionally, Payzone has introduced new features for active travel on its app to allow users to locate, unlock and pay for their nearest Bleeper bike.
“This integration with Bleeper reflects our commitment to making everyday easier; in particular, to make travel and mobility easier and more accessible to those commuting in the city," said Jim Deignan, CEO of Payzone.
"In addition to simplifying everyday transactions, we are also actively promoting a greener future for Irish towns and cities.”
Payzone was the first app in Ireland to integrate shared bikes into its platform offering, with the company planning to add further modes of transport in the future.
In 2024, Bleeper users avoided emitting approximately 46,520kg of CO2 by choosing to cycle.

“This partnership with Payzone represents a step towards making bike-sharing even more accessible to the public," said Hugh Cooney, founder of Bleeper.
"The integration offers an easy and affordable way for more people to choose cycling as a sustainable transport option.
"We are thrilled to work with Payzone and look forward to further expanding these services.”
