Irish outsourcer Uniquely has announced plans to invest £20m in the UK this year.
The Co. Louth-headquartered firms intends to open new offices in Manchester, Solihull and Glasgow, creating 300 new jobs by the end of the year.
The company has also opened a new financial services floor at its Dundalk call centre with the intention of attracting more financial services clients.
Uniquely previously announced plans to add 100 jobs at the Dundalk customer engagement centre in 2023.
The firm now employs more than 300 in Ireland, and expects to grow its headcount here to 400 by the end of 2025.
“People are at the heart of everything we do at Uniquely and we are delighted to be growing our presence and supporting local economies through new employment opportunities in Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham," said Gerard Teahon, founder and CEO of Uniquely.
"This significant investment in the UK is both the realisation of an important milestone in our journey towards innovation, transformation and growth and a testament to the exceptional talent and innovative offering we provide our increasingly international customer base.
“As our flagship Customer Engagement Centre in Dundalk turns 10 this year, and with the opening of our new Financial Services floor, we remain committed to our mission to elevate standards in customer support and engagement in every sector we touch, including Financial Services, Utilities and Telecoms.”
Uniquely's UK expansion was highlighted at a recent reception in Liverpool as part of the first annual UK-Ireland Summit hosted by Prime Minister Keir Starmer and attended by Taoiseach Micheál Martin.
“I congratulate Uniquely on their plans to create new jobs and invest in its ongoing expansion in the UK, providing solutions for banking, energy and telecoms," said the Taoiseach.
“Uniquely is one of several Irish businesses continuing to play a significant role in the UK economy, while delivering export growth for Ireland.”
