Actavo enters market for EV home chargers

Actavo has entered the market for the installation of electric vehicle chargers in premises around Ireland.

The company said that chargers offered by the company are smart EV chargers, which allow consumers to manage their car charging from a mobile app and avail of the best tariffs.

The Actavo HomeCharge product range qualifies for the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland grant of up to €600, which is available to homeowners regardless of whether they currently own an electric car.

Actavo said its In-Home team of c.500 service engineers, customer service staff, and technicians currently carries out 40,000 home visits per month for clients such as  Sky, Siro, Virgin Media, and Prepay Power. 

Actavo said experienced electricians will be responsible for the charger instals.

The HomeCharge product range details four charger options on its website. Motorists interested in the service are invited to get a quote through an online form.

One in five new cars registered year to date has been electric or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, compared with one in seven in the same period in 2021.
