Eight IDA clients announce 240 jobs

Eight fast-growth companies from Europe and the US have announced plans to create a combined 240 jobs in Dublin, Galway, Letterkeny and Limerick as part of investments supported by the taxpayer-funded state aid from IDA Ireland.

Automation platform Workato and technology solutions provider Bluecrux each announced 50 jobs. The former plans to ramp up hiring at its Dublin office, having raised $420m in funding to date.

Workato's Irish base has hired 10 people since opening at the WeWork building last September, and new offices will see the creation of 50 roles over the next three years, predominantly in sales, marketing and engineering.

Bluecrux opened its first Irish office in Galway last May and a Dublin location in March. The company supplies tech for planning, operations, and transformation.

"Given the complex nature of the services and solutions we provide and the global landscape of the companies we partner with, Ireland provides critical and strategic access to a rich talent pool of professionals to support the growth of both our consulting practice and our SaaS solutions business for which we need exceptional software engineering and development talent," said Koen Jaspers, co-founder and CEO of Bluecrux.

New York-based marketing tech compay GeistM will add 40 jobs across creative, client management, engineering, business development, and marketing services activities at its EU HQ in Dublin, which is responsible for managing all clients originating outside the US.

Swiss digital border technology company Travizory Border Security SA will hire 30 people at its development centre in Letterkenny by 2024, adding to its team of specialists in AI and machine learning, biometrics, mobile, border security and border management.

Experience optimisation solutions provider Evolv AI plans is set to hire 25 people in Dublin and Limerick over the next two years, with positions in sales, marketing, expert services, client success management, and engineering, research and development.

The San Francisco-based company opened its European headquarters in Dublin last year.

Swiss medical device manufacturer Hader Solutions will recruit 18 people at its first distribution centre in Dublin over the next three years. The site will distribute Hader's medical, dental and orthopaedic solutions to Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Elsewhere, Swedish cloud-based reference checking solution company Refrapp will add 15 jobs in sales, business development and marketing at a newly established EMEA sales hub in Dublin, while 'continuous attack surface management' firm Censys will launch its international expansion from Dublin and hire an additional 13 workers by 2024.

Enterprise minister Leo Varadkar said the announcements were "testament to our highly-qualified and talented workforce" while IDA Ireland CEO Martin Shanahan welcomed the geographic spread of investments.
