The Address Collective Hotel Group, owned by hoteliers Brian McGettigan and Ciara McGettigan, is set to add 40 jobs with the reopening of the Sligo City Hotel on 1 March.

The 61-bedroom hotel on Quay Street next to Sligo city hall features a bar, restaurant and meeting rooms and is set to benefit from strong leisure and corporate demand in Sligo amid growing interest in the Wild Atlantic Way as a tourist destination.

Address Collective has plans for further investment in the hotel, including additional refurbishment and employment, and will rebrand it as The Address Sligo following the 2023 season.

“This commitment and significant capital investment in Sligo demonstrates our appetite to grow the Address Collective brand," the McGettigans said.

"We have plans to create a bespoke product that will enhance Sligo’s hotel offering. The location lends itself to a truly boutique hotel and we look forward to the launch of The Address Hotel Sligo in 2024.”

Address Collective has reopened the Sligo City Hotel.

Tom Barrett, of Savills Hotels, stated: "Savills were delighted to advise the Address Collective on this addition to its expanding portfolio. Sligo is a growing destination, and this boutique brand will help grow the overall Sligo hotel market."

The Sligo hotel is Address Collective's fourth hotel to open, joining hotels near Connolly station in Dublin (278 bedrooms), in Citywest (129 bedrooms) and Cork city (70 bedrooms).

The group is also set to open a 91-bedroom hotel in Glasgow this year before rebranding it under the Address name in 2024.
