Meanwhile, Wexford Festival Opera is reaching into the local community with the help of technology partner Datapac.

As part of the festival’s outreach programme, Synapses, Datapac is screening highlights of the 2021 festival for residents in Wexford care homes and providing funding and on-site engineering support.

WFO executive director Randall Shannon stated: “As a major partner in our outreach programme, Datapac works collaboratively with us to find new and innovative ways to stay connected to our community. This is an important part of our work and I have enjoyed giving residents a glimpse of last year's festival and hearing their own memories.”

Wexford Festival Opera 2022 runs from 21 October to 6 November.
