Former England footballer David Beckham has partnered with Hugo Boss to design a clothing line.
Beckham's debut formal and casual menswear collections are set to launch next spring.
Before that, he will feature in the German fashion house's global marketing campaign this autumn and winter.
Beckham, 49, expressed his enthusiasm for the project: "I've really enjoyed the collaboration so far and have been impressed by the team's ambition, creativity, and desire for excellence.
"I look forward to sharing what we've been working on."
Following in the footsteps of his fashion designer wife, Victoria Beckham, who has collaborated with Mango, Beckham is making his own mark in the fashion industry.
Former Spice Girl, Victoria has recently seen her fashion line finally make a profit after years of operating in the red, while David has long been associated with different clothing labels, including ranges with H&M.
Hugo Boss chief executive Daniel Grieder praised the partnership: "David is a true global icon in both sports and fashion.

"With his distinctive entrepreneurial spirit and authentic passion for fashion, he perfectly embodies the values of our brand."
Hugo Boss shares rose 3% yesterday in Frankfurt.
