Q-Park and Brite Mobility have partnered to offer e-bike and e-moped hire services at city centre car parks in Dublin and Galway.

The service will be rolled out at Q-Park's car parks at St Stephen's Green and The Spite in the capital and Eyre Square in Galway as part of the company's efforts to facilitate urban accessibility, sustainability and liveability, with more locations to follow.

Brite Mobility was spun out of Motorpark Group, one of Ireland's largest car dealer groups, in 2019 and offers shared e-bikes and e-mopeds local authorities, businesses and delivery services across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

To use the service, Brite Mobility customers will need to download the Brite app and view available bikes or mopeds from their phone.

E-Bikes have a range of 50km at full charged, while e-mopeds can go 100km, again when fully charged.

For after-hours access to the carparks, Brite customers receive a unique QR code, which can be used to access the car park on foot when they arrive, and the network of pick-up and drop-off locations will develop as further Q-Park car parks are added to the partnership.

"We believe this is the future of the parking industry across the globe and we seek out the experts in their respective fields, such as Brite Mobility, to be able to add value to our estate," said Alastair MacDonald, head of commercial and operations at Q-Park Ireland.

Colin Barry, founder of Brite Mobility, said: "We hope that many Q-Park customers will avail of our amazing launch offer of a free one-hour ride by submitting your in-date parking ticket in Brite’s app chat support.

"Our introductory €5 per hour e-bike rental price is also super competitive. Our premium electric mopeds will be priced a little higher at €15 per hour but you are paying for the luxury of super speed and a nice comfy seat. No pedalling here."

Q-Park has a portfolio for over 3,330 parking facilities with 640,000 spaces in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, the UK, France, Ireland and Denmark.
