What to get for the executive who has everything? An eternal question for those in the orbit of business leaders who can afford what they like and whose tastes are more refined than a high street toiletries set.

With less than three weeks until 25 December, here the ultimate Christmas gift guide for the executive in your life:

Private helicopter for Cheltenham

Every February, the Irish horse racing set descends on the Cotswalds for the prestigious Cheltenham Festival. Why not avoid the crowds making their way to the racecourse and travel in VIP style with a private helicopter?

With 28 races over four days in the depths of the English countryside, there are practical benefits to consider when booking a helicopter, but it would also be the height of luxury for a dedicated punter.

Rolex watch

A classic Christmas gift and an assured status symbol, Rolex is the first word in high-end watches, offering a range of models, materials, bezels, dials and bracelets to suit any taste and ensure your choice is a bespoke one.

In Association with

Fine dining experience

Executives are busy people, working long hours, often eating for sustenance rather than gastronomical pleasure, so what better reason to drag them away from their desks than a few hours to enjoy a top dining experience at one of the country's finest restaurants?

Dublin alone has 33 Michelin-starred restaurants, and there are 124 in Ireland overall, offering plenty of choice and locations for an evening of fine dining.

Lululemon Mirror

Lululemon's Mirror is the next step in fitness technology and provides a happy medium between giving up the smart watch and installing a home gym.

With the Lululemon Studio subscription, users can avail of 10,000 workouts and 60 classes from trainers that will be broadcast on the Mirror panel, which they can install on their wall, as well as accessories such as heart rate monitors and smart weights.

Studypod home office

Maybe your executive is always on call and needs a quiet place to work when at home. Maybe you resisted installing a garden pod during the pandemic, and are regretting not doing so. Well, if you have the space and $14,000, the Studypod may be the answer.

This futuristic, high-specification, sound-proof box might look a bit alien sitting in a back garden, but it would offer the user solitude to complete their endeavours before getting back to enjoy their evening.

Meta Quest

The world may still be unsold on the utility of the Metaverse, but Mark Zuckerberg's VR headset might be just the ticket for a future-facing executive looking to get a taste of what Silicon Valley is cooking up.

The starter bundle includes the headset with built-in speakers for immersive sound, two controllers that relay user movement to the headset, and a charging cable.

Luxury travel bag

With the resumption of international travel over the past 18 months, business travel is likely to be back on the agenda for many executives, although perhaps curtailed to some degree with sustainability in mind.

Whether its a heavy-duty, top-of-the-line Samsonite suitcase or a Louis Vuitton leather carryall, there are endless finely-crafted options available for men and women.

Cheese board

For a cheese lover, there's little better than unwrapping a smorgasbord of delicious, varied cheeses on Christmas morning. The likes of Sheridan's and Fallon & Byrne and any number of expert cheesemongers nationwide could put together a fine hamper of cheeses that could play tastebuds like a symphony.

Electric vehicle

Tesla is now doing a roaring trade in Ireland, making up around 7% of sales of new vehicles this year, and now might be the time to go electric if your executive hasn't already.

In addition to top-end models such as the Tesla Model 3 and Polestar 2, which cost upwards of €50,000, Irish motoring journalists recommend the Volkswagen ID.Buzz, named Irish Car of the Year last month.

Test drive a Supercar

If the names Porsche, Lamborghini and McLaren get the executive in your life's engine going, then a test drive in a supercar might be the ultimate gift this Christmas. You will need to get to Northern Ireland to try out some of these luxury cars on the Nutts Corner circuit, but the speed demon inside will definitely thank you.

There are 12 supercars to choose from, from the Porsche 911 to Ferrari 458 SPYDER, and packages range from a passenger ride to testing five of these iconic cars, just make sure you remember you're not on the track when driving home.
