ConnectIreland and IDA Ireland have both been shortlisted in an international media competition for their contributions to economic development.

Both organisations are shortlisted in the FDI and economic development promotion category at the World Media Awards. The international awards are designed to benchmark the best in international advertising and communication strategies. According to organisers, the awards celebrate the best in international, content-led advertising.

ConnectIreland delivers the Succeed in Ireland initiative in association with IDA Ireland. Winners of the competition will be announced at the World Media Awards reception on March 16 in London.

ConnectIreland’s Community Action Plan, which reaches out to members of the local and international Irish community in order to promote their regions, was shortlisted for its promotion of FDI and economic development.

Welcoming the shortlist announcement, ConnectIreland CEO, Joanna Murphy (pictured), welcomed the news, said: “It is great recognition for Ireland that two agencies that work so well together have both been recognised for their contribution to FDI and economic development. Irrespective of the outcome, this is a win for Ireland.”
