Specialist IT solutions distributor DataSolutions has announced a partnership with Cato Networks, the provider of the world-first Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) platform, a cloud-native networking category that aims to improve enterprise performance and cybersecurity.
DataSolutions expects the partnership will drive multi-million euro business growth for Cato Networks in Ireland over the next few years, adding to its seven-figure revenues within the Irish network.
Cato has invested significantly in its Dublin presence recently, having opened a Point of Presence (which houses servers, routers and other network interface equipment) that extends the Cato SASE Cloud Backbone.
Cato also recently appointed industry veteran Anthony Walsh as its country manager in Ireland and expanded its local technical team. It is currently in the process of hiring additional staff across various support functions.
Cato's SASE Cloud offering connects all branches, data centres, people and cloud environments for businesses and can be gradually deployed for organisations to replace or augment legacy network services and security point solutions.
The company has experienced demand for the solution across all industries and from local and multinational companies with multiple offices, numerous branch locations and large remote workforces, and is looking to recruit partners in Ireland with expertise in enterprise networking and security.
Michael O’Hara, group managing director of DataSolutions, said: “Given the ever-evolving threat landscape and our new hybrid working world, the breadth of cover that Cato SASE Cloud delivers across all users, applications, devices and locations is ever more crucial – and in high demand.
"We look forward to working with them to provide cutting-edge solutions and deliver services which power success and deliver real results.
“It’s a perfect fit really, in terms of our portfolios and company values. As well as acting as an extension of Cato Networks’ sales and technical capabilities, we will be assisting them in adding to their partner network, starting with a launch event on 13 July. By joining forces, we hope to do great things in Ireland.”
Anthony Walsh added: “We are uniquely positioned to enable the digital transformation of companies’ network and security infrastructure through the simplification, automation and consolidation of legacy point solutions into a cloud-native service.
"And we pride ourselves on not simply deploying products but delivering these as part of an integrated Cloud native SaaS service.
“To do that effectively, we need the right people in the organisation and expert partners like DataSolutions which upholds exceptional service levels. They will allow us to continue this rapid growth phase and capitalise on the wealth of opportunities within the Irish market – and further afield.”
DataSolutions saw its revenues increase to €98m during its latest financial year, ended March 2022, and has now more than doubled its turnover since 2019 (€47m) amid rapid growth in its portfolio of security solutions.
Sales in the company's cybersecurity and multi-cloud divisions have risen 43% over the past 12 months on the back of huge demand as its clients embrace hybrid working arrangements and bolster their cloud-based security.
