Harry Goddard, CEO of Deloitte Ireland, said that last year had been "characterised by challenge and change."
"At a time when investment capital and appetite was in short supply, I am proud of the work done by Deloitte teams across Ireland to support our clients as they traded through complexity and sought to grow their businesses," he continued.
Goddard said the clients had prioritised investments that would drive growth and protect cashflow in the wake of geopolitical and economic shifts, and that a number had embarked on transformation projects in technology, business operations and supply chain optimisation during the second half of the year.

"We also see more clients using Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence as a lever to drive value in their businesses.
"Combining expertise in trade, technology and tax we have brough real and tangible value to our clients," he added.
“As we continue into next year, our focus is to stay close to our clients, ensuring we shape the delivery of our services to their agenda and continue to drive the businesses of our clients forward.”
