Saas provider Diligent opens European hub in Galway

Diligent, a provider of SaaS solutions for governance, risk, compliance and ESG, has opened its new 35,000 sq ft European hub at Bonham Quay in Galway, having hired 275 people in the region since announcing the move in late 2020.

The company has an additional 50 positions to fill at the docklands office, which it said would be instrumental in supporting its global operations and driving long-term business growth.

"Our European hub is an innovation engine for our company across Europe and beyond. We are delighted to expand our footprint in Galway,” said Brian Stafford, CEO of Diligent.

“Our new office will enable us to continue to attract the best talent, putting us in a strong position to empower leaders with the technology, insights and connections they need to drive greater impact and lead with purpose."

New York-headquartered Diligent operates in more than 130 countries, and its software applications are used by 1m users and more than 700,00 board members and leaders from 250,000 client organisations worldwide.

Speaking at the official opening, Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Leo Varadkar, said: “This new facility and Diligent’s investment in the West is a testament to the company's commitment to Ireland and the hard work of its growing team.

Remote working is here to stay and I’m particularly happy to see Bonham Quay will offer flexible working options for its employees."

Ruairí Conroy, site leader at Diligent Galway said the "state-of-the-art" office would enhance employee engagement, attract and retain talent and showcase the company's commitment to Galway and the wider region.

During the past 12 months, Diligent has also completed four major acquisitions, including Limerick-based sustainability and ESG reporting software company Accuvio.
