Drury announces new leadership structure

Public relations agency Drury has announced five senior promotions and a new leadership structure.

The promotions see the appointment of three divisional Managing Directors, a Chief Operations Officer and a Financial Controller.

The appointments are:

•     Danielle Martin as Managing Director of Public Affairs and Regulatory

•     Robert Hanly as Managing Director of Campaigning

•     Cathal Barry as Managing Director of Financial Communications

•     Breena Cooper as Chief Operations Officer

•     Orlaith Sweeney as Financial Controller.

Chief executive Anne-Marie Curran said the firm is defining its offering across three core divisions: Public Affairs and Regulatory, Campaigning, and Financial Communications.

“It is a testament to the bench strength of our business that we have been able to promote from within for these important positions,” Curran added.

“The world of communications is constantly evolving and with our new leadership team in place, we are strongly positioned to build on our market leadership position.”

Drury was the subject of an MBO in 2020 when the business was bought from Omnicom by Curran, Billy Murphy, Paddy Hughes and Sinead Birt.

The owners of the business will make up Drury’s newly formed executive committee along with Gerry Naughton and non-executive director, Aidan Walsh.

Drury’s recently unveiled new branding developed by CI Studio. The messaging is that the new brand is underpinned by ‘The Power of Full Circle’.

“Drury is a full circle team of communications strategists and public affairs consultants with over three decades of experience in a constantly evolving media, political and social landscape,” Curran explained.

Drury’s clients include Amazon Web Services, Cairn Homes, Three Ireland, Musgrave Group, ESB Group, FBD Holdings plc, Flutter Entertainment, Irish Life, CRH, Ulster Bank, Enterprise Ireland, Beiersdorf, Science Foundation Ireland and the Road Safety Authority.

Account wins this year include Lego, Mars Ireland and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
