The Liffey corporate challenge known as the Dublin Docklands Regatta is taking place on Friday 21 October for the sixth year.
Founder Niall O’Toole describes the event as the ultimate teambuilding event, in the ultimate team sport of rowing.
“With so many of us working from home and remote working, it has never been more important for teams to reconnect and rebuild, learn together again, and have fun,” said O’Toole.
“At the Dublin Docklands Regatta, your team will learn to row and race in the heart of Dublin’s Docklands, and no previous rowing experience is necessary.
O’Toole is expecting 40 teams to participate, with four hours of racing. On the day, each team will:
• Learn to Row: Each team of four will book in for a 30-minute rowing lesson with a coach from 8am on the day of the event, at a time that suits. After the lesson the team can leave and return for the afternoon racing.
• Learn to Race: The regatta heats start from 1.30 pm and consist of circa four hours of racing that leads up to the final.
The location for the rowing regatta is Charlotte Quay Dock on Ringsend Road in Dublin 4, and the entry fee per team is €500. The event includes a lunch.
