Exertis Supply Chain Services (ESCS), a Dublin-based subsidiary of DCC plc, today officially opened its new 100,000 square foot logistics facility in Raheen, Limerick.
The announcement was made during the trade mission in Ireland organised by Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland, led by jobs minister Mary Mitchell O’Connor.
In the past year, ESCS has transformed the under-utilised site into one of the largest good-manufacturing-practice-controlled biopharmaceutical warehousing facilities in Ireland. The project has generated 12 direct and eight indirect new jobs thus far.
ESCS is working with US biopharmaceutical FDI, providing warehousing and transport services for its purpose built factory in the mid-west of Ireland, which will be the largest capacity biopharmaceutical production facility in Ireland.
Neal Johnston, MD of ESCS, said: “Exertis, as a leading indigenous supply chain partner, enables foreign direct investment by providing swift and effective support for their startup operations, both in Ireland and overseas.”
Headquartered in Dublin and operating internationally, Exertis’ supply chain services business provides materials supply chain services across sectors, including pharma, and is the largest indigenous materials supply chain management company in Ireland. The business employs over 160 people in five countries.
