Flipdish lands deal with Galeries Lafayette for food retail website

Flipdish has agreed terms with French department store chain Galeries Lafayette to deliver a bespoke online food ordering platform.

The arrangement includes delivery partner integration for its food court Lafayette Gourmet.

Flipdish is working with French web agency Wizzmedia to incorporate its technology onto the Lafayette Gourmet website, which in turn will allow the store to ensure that only in-stock products are available for purchase on the website.

Using customisable Flipdish menu data, Galeries Lafayette can manage order capacity and minimise prep times.

With the solution, Galeries Lafayette says it can offer same-day delivery within the Paris region with the integration of two delivery partners into the system.

The was made to coincide with the Enterprise Ireland trade mission to Paris, led by minister Leo Varadkar.

Varadkar stated: “Ireland is quickly becoming a global hub for technology leaders, and Flipdish is leading the way in digital consumer experience. What Conor and James McCarthy have done over the course of the last couple of years is truly impressive, and the announcement earlier this year that they achieved unicorn status demonstrates Ireland’s role in the future of global technological advancements.”

“Galeries Lafayette and its historical store on Boulevard Haussmann are a core of Paris’ wonderful culture and its gourmet food court is second to none. With Flipdish technology, we will be able to ensure that those wishing to avail of the store’s food offerings are able to pay and order for same day delivery.
