Aidan O’Brien’s promising two-year-old, Flushing Meadows, made a striking debut at the Curragh, securing a stylish win in the BusinessPlus.ie Irish EBF Maiden.
Sent off at 5/2 under top jockey Ryan Moore, the son of Wootton Bassett delivered a commanding performance in the six-furlong contest, winning by a length and a half and showcasing the class that marks him as one to watch for the season ahead.
The victory formed part of a strong start to the day for the Ballydoyle team, with Moore earlier guiding Amadeus Mozart — also by Wootton Bassett — to success in the opening Sky Bet For The Fans Irish EBF Maiden.
The well-supported 10/11 favourite responded well under pressure to edge out stablemate Dorset by half a length.

The day’s racing not only underlined Ballydoyle’s continued strength with juveniles but also showcased the calibre of competition.
BusinessPlus.ie is proud to sponsor this maiden as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting excellence and development in Irish sport.
