Broadcaster Gavin McLoughlin joins PR consultancy Drury

Drury, the strategic communications and public affairs consultancy, has announced the appointment of business journalist and broadcaster Gavin McLoughlin to a director role.

McLoughlin joins Drury from the radio station Newstalk, where he has been deputy business editor since 2019.

Prior to Newstalk, he was business news editor at the Irish Independent.

“Gavin’s experience and skill set will make an important contribution to our team and clients as we continue to develop and grow the business,” said Cathal Barry, managing director, financial communications at Drury.

“His track record in a fast-moving environment and ability to scrutinise, analyse and communicate clearly makes him an ideal fit.

Vincent Wall, who was formerly in charge of Newstalk’s business output, spent a brief spell with Drury a few years ago.
