Virtual mobile operator GoMo has announced it has increased customers' EU data roaming allowance to 13GB from 10GB.

The Eir-owned operator said it had seen a 400% increase in data roaming year-on-year as holidaymakers returned to the continent.

GoMo customers can currently 'Roam Like Home' when travelling in the EU, which means they use a portion of their data at the same price at home, but limits are capped depending on the individual's plan.

"Post-Covid, GoMo customers are ready to travel and explore again," said Kealan Donoghue, director of mobile at GoMo.

"GoMo customers have the reassurance that they will remain connected as they travel, all GoMo customers will have 13GB of 4G EU roaming data.”

The company has since steadily increased prices to €14.99 per month for new customers.
